The beautiful and historic village of Tintern can be found north of Chepstow and south of Monmouth.
Tintern Abbey
The presence of a saxon soldier has been felt in the grounds of the abbey.
Apparently, he was killed there whilst fighting in Henry II's army. Also, the ghost of a monk kneeling at
prayer has been seen within the grounds.
