St Donat's Castle
This castle has a claim on being one of the most haunted houses in Wales. A variety of paranormal
phenomena have been reported over the years, occuring day or night.
A panther was repeatedly seen in the corridors of the castle; a bright light was seen nightly in
one of the bedrooms - this reportedly bearing the resemblance of a "large, glaring eye"; an ugly hag witnessed in the
armoury; the piano was played by invisible hands; the ghost of Lady Anne Stradling haunted the Long Gallery, and finally the
Welsh equivalent of the banshee, the "Gwrach-y-rhibyn" used to put in an unwanted appearance!
Should be an interesting night there...!
