Before the bypass was built, this Old Warren Road led to Buckley, but it has now been truncated.  In times past this road was the haunt of an old man who was described as "very thin, dressed in black... with a broad-brimmed hat".  Apparently, he frightened a number of young couples who walked home along this route in years gone by!
